youtube.com SAO PAULO – Past Cia Maritima shows have often showcased wild animal prints, so why should the brand’s showing at Sao Paulo Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2012 be any different, save for the even sexier and bolder getups which include python print cut out one pieces that might as well have been bikinis. Vibrants prints were in abundance at this collection, as were vibrant colors like orange, yellow, green, and pink. Cia Maritima was also heavy on the geometric prints and shapes. Bikinis were tiny as we’re used to from Brazilian swimwear labels, but the beautiful handpainted designs were big in taking our breath away. Many of her models also sport crop top peasant blouses that hit above the belly button, but there’s no Britney Spears belly baring girls here–only beautiful ladies. Brightly colored flowing skirts, bows on bathing suit tops, stripes, and cute floppy summer hats added to the models, which the head designer also chooses to dresse in flatforms, the hottest sandals of summer, that give them a fun and fancy free summer vibe.
